Through the Energy Alliance’s proprietary collaboration portal, regional energy companies are able to post current pain points and market problems they may be experiencing. The Pittsburgh region is home to one of the six national laboratories – the National Energy Technology Laboratory – as well as some of the nation’s leading research universities. Our collaboration portal provides a place where researchers and technologists can share findings and offer solutions for private companies. By creating a body of knowledge and an active energy community, research is conducted more rigorously and effectively and findings are more quickly distributed to solve market problems.

Pittsburgh is the birthplace of the energy industry, from drilling the first oil and gas wells to commercializing nuclear power.
